Types of computer sticks

There are two main types of computer sticks:

Flash drives

Flash drives are the best option if you want to store large amounts of data, such as digital photographs, videos, or MP3s. Flash drives come in many different sizes, from 4 GB to 128 GB. Most flash drives are designed to connect directly to computers using a USB cable. You cannot use a flash drive to transfer data between computers unless formatted to work with Windows XP or later operating systems. If you need to transfer data between computers running different versions of Windows, then you will need an external hard disk drive.

External hard disks

If you only need to transfer small amounts of data between computers, an external hard disk may be more suitable. External hard disks are more significant than flash drives, and they do not require a special connection to the computer. Instead, they plug into a USB port on the back of the computer. This makes them much easier to carry around than a flash drive. If you plan to use your computer at home, then you should look for a model that offers enough capacity to hold all of your essential data. For example, if you regularly download movies and TV shows onto your computer, you might consider buying a device that contains several terabytes of data. However, if you mainly use your computer at school or university, you probably don’t need anything bigger than a few gigabytes.
